“One day you will tell your story of how you overcame what you went through and it will be someone else’s survival guide” – Brené Brown
Let’s get started
Sometimes we find making positive changes in our lives can be harder than it seems. Despite our desire to live to the fullest, our painful thoughts, feelings, memories, relationships, and habits keep intruding and getting in our way. Try as we might, sometimes we just feel stuck in the same old rut, the same old patterns. Whether we are continually worried, stressed, and anxious, or whether we are plagued by lonely, angry, or depressed thoughts and feelings, sometimes, we need help getting back on track.
At True Course Counseling, we realize that a one-size-fits-all approach does not work in therapy. You are a unique person, therefore, a successful therapist will take time to get to know you, to understand your concerns, and to collaborate on finding the most effective solutions. Some of us respond well to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, where we address unreasonable thoughts and beliefs, so as to improve our mood and outlook. Some of us gravitate toward mindfulness practices, where we learn to be less reactive to our thoughts, and more peaceful. We will work hard to help you discover the most effective approach to addressing your concerns and build healthy connection.
