• Megan Goins, LMSW

    Megan has a wide range of experience working with individuals of all ages and stages to help them better understand themselves and work through major life changes and events. She works with individuals to help manage long term mental health symptoms and diagnoses. She uses a trauma informed care approach with all clients and her office is a safe and affirming space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

    Megan specializes in working with individuals who have experienced religious trauma. Megan understands the importance and benefits healthy faith plays in an individual’s life and will walk with you as you find the role faith plays in your life. She helps create space for individuals to find their whole and true self.

    Megan takes a trauma informed care and whole person approaches to treatment. Taking past and present influences into account to help work towards your goals. Megan is EMDR trained, HAES informed, and has specialized education in helping individuals navigate the influences that trauma has on individuals lives.  She specializing in areas of OCD, traumatic brain injury and disordered eating.

    Whether you are new to therapy, or have had plenty of experience with therapy in the past, Megan works to meet you where you are at. Megan draws from a wide range of experience and training to tailor a treatment plan specifically to your unique needs. Megan knows everyone has barriers to beginning therapy and works with her clients to help overcome these.

    Megan is a Licensed Master’s Social Worker and graduated with her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare. While completing her master’s degree program she was a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Scholar working closely with the LGBTQIA+ community to create access to healthcare. Megan received her bachelor’s in Chaplaincy from Manhattan Christian College.
