Paul came to the therapy profession through his intersecting passions for change, psychology, and helping others. As a therapist, Paul brings these passions into the working relationship with his clients, holding space for them to “step outside” themselves and create new, more productive and self actualized ways of being. Paul is driven by compassionate person-centered principles and believes that it is the quality of the working relationship itself- a relationship based in empathy, authenticity, and mutual respect- that provides the key to positive change.

After along career in corporate finance Paul new he needed a change. Recognizing his current process of life change and tapping into his ability to help others, John went back to school and graduated with is Masters in Social Work from the University of Kansas.
Paul works with a diverse range of folks living with severe persistent mental health symptoms, substance use, men’s issues, adolescents, life transitions and career change. Through this experience, he has developed a well-rounded, person-centered approach, integrating a variety of techniques and modalities, to help each individual client access their own internal wisdom and follow their subjective path to healing.
He is skilled in integrating such modalities as CBT, DBT, IFS, narrative therapy, SFT and mindfulness. His experience is that the underlying truth common to many people who seek counseling is that life can be traumatic, and he takes a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach to help people separate from the painful and self-sabotaging aspects of their narrative and transform them into something more joyful, connected and empowering.
